enjoy as always your posts.
no turbo car I know "needs" backpressure so the muffler cat thing only slows things down
the loss of torque to me so far is urban legend and doesnt happen to me on the track
and thanks for taking the time to PROVE and provide some data to what I have said all along, straight pipes are the best performance bang for the buck, period.

I Have Gemballa third IC and couldn’t get more than 0,9 boost , pulled the gates , flashed , everything and couldn’t do it, Neil Orton Told me it was temp. I had the pipes I had bought to use at the track and decided to put them on and try to send air up to the engine bay using the center part where the mufflers used to go , with nothing else changed my temp stayed close to the 180 on the gauge , which I could hardly hold before and I see 1,1 on second and third and some 1,2 on 4th now
Incredible temp change and car performance change
PIPES RULE!!!!
Keep the windows closed....

Interesting results, what about sound though? I found both my TTcab and my TTX50 to be WAY TOO quite - my 360 on the other hand, with tubi... perfect

Thanks for the data. I want to do this mod long time ago, I knew that the straight pipes will give a little more power just dont know how much. One second and 3mph is alot for the 60-130, it will yeild more in the 1/4. I will find out how much power/torqe when i do mine. Now i have a reason to do the straight pipes mod sooner

So you guys are just deleting the cats only, and not the mufflers, or both??

Interesting experiment...
Can you say what the actual 60-130 times were for both trials?

Now to compare vs a good free flowing exhaust. I think the top end may have improved, but the low end torque and power definitely takes a hit.
