No radio sound output
Hello all,
Recently my radio would not power on at all. The fuse behind the deck/head unit was out.....so now the radio powers on, but no sound. Checked voltage to amp and its getting power...also, the CD changer seems to have no power. No sound to the speakers.....any ideas??
Thanks!

Well you have a MOST system...if the optical ring is broken, you will have problems. Since you got power, it sounds like you disconnected the ring by accident...you will need to check all connections...Or the amp is fried.

ill tell you with my stock most system, it would mysteriously, once in a couple of months, just mute all speakers.
radio showed power, everything looked functional, but the symptoms were as if i "muted" the system, when i know i didnt.
the next day it would usually be back to normal, playing perfectly fine. I only heard people with the fiber optic system complaining about this.
did the sound come back on yet?

I had the same thing happen to me. Everything on, but no sound. I just disconnected the fuse for the radio in the kickpanel for 30 seconds and replaced it. Happened to me more than once on my '03.
