Felt a bit Porsched Out.......
Hey guys, thanks
I have to get used to the car first. I'm actually more confident in theis around exit ramps than the GT2, but after the mods, we'll see.
Need to break it in first.

Well... you now have BOTH of the cars I was looking at just before I purchased my 911 Turbo.
I absolutely love the brute force of the Viper but ultimately, I had a hard time getting past the plastic and interior fit and finish.
I remember reading that comparing the Porsche 911 turbo and the viper was like comparing a WWF Wrestler with a Ballerina... ultimately, I chose the ballerina
Good luck with your new ride Shank!

Drove Viper in ORR
Shank,
You are correct about the sound and the thrill! I drove a Viper GT in Nevada. Cruised @ 170mph for miles and miles. Much fun. I did drive about 400 miles to get a little comfortable before the event.
The brakes need a lot of work. AND the friggin' engine blew at high speed. That was a thrill for sure. Didn't crash, but the car did get seriously burned front and rear.
I definitely could learn to love it and forget all about the plastic and crap like that.
Cheers

P.S.
Short shift kit was a cool addition.

My wife has a Viper and she loves it. The twin turbo versions blow my Ruf away. They hit about 150 MPH in the quarter while I'm only going about 130. You just can't compare a 3.6 liter TT with an 8 liter TT. With Porsche adding .2 liters every 10 years or so, they should be up to today's Viper in about 200 years. Oh, I forgot, the 3.8 TT is coming in a few years.
Good call Shank!! The SRT-10 Viper is just about untouchable in stock form by any other stock car.
Adding a TT will make this car realy nasty. I have had several conversations with Jason Heffner and a 510cid TT for the SRT-10 ... I am getting really close to doing this myself.

I was feeling the same way, so brought home an Elise today! It's the anti-Viper! more like a 4-wheeled motorcycle than a car....feels kinda funny being dwarfed by Boxsters...
