Felt a bit Porsched Out.......
I frankly got a lilttle porsched out, getting in one and into another, so I decided to sell my 996 AWD turbo, and get an SRT10. So far, no regrets. Buying German CArs for a while, I got a little spoiled with high quality leather, even in the owners manual. I think Dodge uses the same plastic used in the Mead notebook binders for their manuals.
In anycase, Instant 500 Torque, and 500HP, with several tuners ranging from Heffner, SVS, Underground Racing, Hennessey, to Mopar Performance and TNT... 700 to 1100RWHP has been achieved with the SRT10's. Before its tuned, I have to get used to the car. It drives diffenerent than the GT2, and handles amazing (almost too responsive)
The cockpit gets hot from the side pipes, but supposedly, aftermarket exhaust systems keep the exhaust temps much cooler.
Best part of the car is the N/A sound from the V10 to the sidepipes. Shifting is short, and notchy, and the 13" P345 tires help to glue it around corners at over 1.1 G
Dealers are offering below invoice - mine 1500 below invoice to be exact - and at 76k, its a bargain, for what you get. Interior is very snug, and I am sure dodge used one of the best plastics
for the instrument panel/dash.
Its an unforgiving car to drive, however it sure does bring a different level of excitement out - naturally aspirated.
As a lover of turbos, I plan on building up the motor plus twin turbos.

from the looks of his sig, he's going with Heffner. Vipers are beautiful cars, the silver is stunning. I see a few in the area every now and then and by far, I think the silver is the perfect color for them. Should be quite a monster after you've got it all done, even more than it is from the factory. Have fun!
Just drove a buddy's Viper about an hour ago. You just get out of that car all sweaty and grinnin', checkin' your wallet to make sure you still have your license. The low end torque, the NASCAR sound track and the sheer refined brutality of it all. A gearhead's dream car. Not as refined as a 996TT but every bit as much fun in it's own way. A guilty pleasure. Sound and Fury. Shock and Awe. Congratulations Shank.

I'm pretty sure no one has these on the SRT10 yet. I think it would look amazing against the silver.
Congrats on the car!

All my dream cars are there...only missing the 98 Supra!
