allowable oil consumption for the 996TT? I found in a book that 1qt/600 miles is the maximum allowable but want to see if I can get an official Porsche factory service book that can confirm these specs. As per my other post, my car is eating ~1qt every 500 mi or so and want this info as proof when I talk to the dealer again so they dont blow me off. Thanks

Comment: You do want to be sure that you are using the Factory correct oil. Using an off spec oil can affect this AS WELL as how you drive. If you are tracking or driving with lots of revs and boost?? Just something to consider before going at the dealer.
Good luck either way
