Pulled the trigger.
Ryan,
I love the GT2, but someone is going to have to prove the chassis can handle more than 540 flywheel hp. I know the motor is capable of producing far more but putting it to the ground other than at speeds where you can't induce wheel spin or slippage might prove difficult. In addition, on most turns the back end becomes very slippery with only 2wd. It think people refer to it as being evil or pure sportscar feeling.

Re: Re: My Pleasure
Other members were interested in different vehicles... one guy wanted to put an order in and two others were interested in 996TTs brand new. Apparently, Mark has been giving some good pricing to quite a few people besides me.
Good job at driving a price close to invoice... sounds like you did better than I did since the closest I could get was 2k over.
The good news is that I suspect Mark will cut me some discounts on parts since I sent you his way... I don't think he gets much commission on an invoice deal, but I still think he gets credit for one out the door so I suspect he is pretty happy.
Let me know if you want me to do a pre-ship inspection. Send me an email to my home account:

Joe, you know what...I may take you up on that offer. Thanks for your help. Other funcars members were talking to Mark about this GT2 or other 911's?

Ryan,
You will never know unless you try, will you? My car won't hold 630 rwhp at the track with an experienced driver. After 510 rwhp it starts to slip, with 636 rwhp it is slipping all over the place. A little sliding is fine, too much and there goes your time. Unless you widen your wheel wells the 315's in the rear is all you have. If you are looking for a point a shoot car, go for it. If you want handling I believe you are making a mistake. My two cents of course.
If you do go for it, do it soon. Before this winter? I would love to test my assumptions and you would be building just the car to use in the test.

Ryan,
2 things
First, have you sold your 993tt? If not what has been done to it and how much do you want?
Second, if you are coming to Gingerman raceway let me know I would love to meet you there. It is only about an hour south of me.
Thanks!

From this mornings conference call with Steven and Dr. Lim
I am guaranteed at least 630-650RWHP on the new GT2 program (RELIABLY) and best of all, under a 3 week implementation.
I will have to add some intake cooling and injectors, and some other stuff thats not invasive, but Imagine will warranty it.
Looking forward post break in,
Shank
There is a new Seal Grey 03 GT2 at Prestige in Colorado. I tried to work the deal for myself but I had too much negative equity in my 01 turbo to justify it. They are offering a VERY good discount. Ask for Jim in sales @ 888-516-2834. No affiliation with the dealer. Just would like to see someone here get the car at a good deal.
