I think the Posters were sent out to those who signed up for the Online 997 updates on the website. Or PCNA members I think it is the website though. Beacause ever since I filled out that interest form on the website I have been receiving information on various Porsche spam via email.

FWIW (not much) I've bought 3 P-cars (2 new) in the last 4 years ("another" on order) and am a PCA member and have not received one.

I recently got one in the mail.

I also got one in the 80's. That one was a larger poster, with the photo of a black turbo from behind getting air under the rear tires as it went over a rise in the road. Had my last name printed in the rear plate also.

I've bought one used and several new Porsches over the past several years, and am a PCA member.

When I got the poster in the 80's I'd never owned a Porsche. I have no idea how they put together that mailing list.

if you buy a porsche (or in your case, if your dad does ), normally they get the same spelling as what the car is registered to. unless of course the dealer screwed up. which is entirely possible! you're lucky your dad has the same last name so you can steal the poster from him!

Got mine- it is going to be framed and placed in my son's (4 yrs old) bedroom. He claimed it the moment he saw it
