Potential buyer - few questions

I was recommended to look at this site from different friends. Im looking at buying a 996 turbo within the next few months. I have a few questions to before i commit to a purchase like this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. First is there a new owners/faq section on this forum?
2. Im willing to spend up to $60k on a used vehicle, if i find a vehicle for 20k less but around 60k miles would that be a good buy, or should i just buy the more expensive one with less miles (20-30k miles)?
3. Also if a certain deal with my job goes through im looking at a 2002 GT2 for ~$100k. Would it be better to get a new(er) 997 turbo instead?
4. Any other advise or links to information on these vehicles?

Thanks for your time and advise. I hope to soon own one of these amazing cars.

I initially wanted Slate Grey too. Instead, I went with traditional beautiful Porsche Silver (it was a great deal). Whatever you do, get a PPI done by an independent shop. Good luck with your search, you'll love the car.
