i have to agree with you on that. however, there is not a day that goes by that i don't count my blessings. i have truly been fortunate to have been at the right place at the right time and have met the right people to work with to make everything happen.

just a quick update...it is official scott has just confirmed my 4.86 second 60 - 130 mph run in the Switzer Sledgehammer. Tym was out trying to get some video footage of the car and ran an incredible 4.86 seconds. The only change done to the car was a fresh set of plugs. Up until now, we were still running on the original set of factory plugs.

Congrats! That is a very fast car. And thanks for keeping it AWD!!! It is good to see P-cars run that fast with AWD.

when this project started, i was hoping for 700+ rwhp (approx. 800 crank). but now, i am so close to 1000 crank hp on my 997. at this point, i may just ditch the 996 project and call it a day!

Thanks DK, for actually providing numbers. You must be a humble person not plagued with an ego problem . Amazing numbers.

I think it's safe for me to speak for all 996TT owners when I say... DON'T DITCH THE 996 PROJECT!

Congratulations to you and Tym for your incredible achievement.

Video clip...
Here's a link to a video clip of the 4.86 60-130 pull. I didn't think I could save the footage as the camera was really wigging out. After 6 different programs and probably way too much time spent last night trying to salvage the data, here it is. Sorry about the wind noise and lack of sound quality in the clip, but the footage is there!
