996 GT2 vs 996 TT alignment specs
Does anyone here know the exact alignment specs of the 996TT and 996GT2? Since the 996GT2 is a rwd platform and has a lack of driver aids it would be natural to conclude that Porsche would add more understeer than a 996TT AWD from the factory. Thanks!
I think I posted that info elsewhere, but keep in mind that the GT2 came from the factory with coil overs and calls out for a range of adjustment there. Likewise the GT2 came with adjustable lower control arms and again, there is a range of settings available.
I think the GT2 got a bad reputation due in no small part to the fact that when these cars came off the boat and ended up and dealerships, they were often out of spec on the alignments. I know my friend's GT3 had this very issue as well when he bought it December 27, 2004.
I'll try later on to dig up the info and post it in another DIY, along with other pertinent info about suspension components and how the are used to make your car handle...
