what's most suprising to me is that the m3 supposedly kept up with the TT? Not so sure about that....

I wouldnt say they tried to promote their country, the NSX was in first, then lost its first place lead and overheated and came in third

They could have edited it and had it over when it was in first

I think the CSL is right around 3k lbs. So it is a few hundred pounds lighter, but in handling through the corners, I find it hard to believe the TT wouldn't smoke it.

Why did they use a 911 tip?

The NSX-R is quite a car for the money. That overheat was a freak thing. They do not overheat.

but isn't the suspension fully upgraded too? I thought this thing was virtually a race car that they put into production to meet racing requirments?

I think the 996TT being a Tip was probably the heaviest, aren't they about 100lb more than a 6 speed? Like I said put a GT2 in there and the Gallardo probably would have been toast, maybe the Murcielago...

have you seen what time the CSL posted on the Ring? It was pretty impressive, up there with the fastest cars. In a straight line it gets smoked but it is rumored to pull similar cornering Gs to an Enzo.

The M3 CSL is VERY fast on track.

I know you don't want to read this, but the CSL is faster than the 911 Turbo on Nürburgring AND Hockenheim.
And since the CSL comes with r-tires as stock it's still stock vs. stock.

wow...that's impressive. Is the CSL available in the US? I wonder if it has the same reliability problems as the standard m3? I've heard they've had some real problems...

Only cars made between Oct. 2001 to Dec. 2001 had engine problems. The rest of them are totally fine.

Your statement is not even close to being correct.

yah, my neighbors m3 is only about a year and a half old, but I've seen him in the loaner car quite a bit over this past year...He'll always tell me that nothings wrong, but then the car shouldn't be in the shop.
