hi
i enjoy people using and driving my car and i dont mind it at all but i think i want more of my friends to like and buy these great cars
i see alot of people esp on other fourms who even wouldnt allow thier kids use the car...i know saftey is somtimes a BIG factor but so is fun
( if they are younger i would let them drive but i would be sitting next to them i dont want them to get hurt not to botherd about the car)
im sure alot of guys have driven FAST cars when you were younger... and im also sure most of you guys like to share the fun of the car at least having someone itting next to you
take care and ENJOY the cars

I've let one friend of mine drive the 360. I wont let anyone else touch it, I'm just to worried about the other bad drivers, not my friends.
The Hummer on the other hand, most of my friends have driven that, I know if they hit anyone or get hit atleast they'll be Ok.. the people in the other car...well thats a different story

I've let roughly 12 of my friends drive my car (pretty much everyone who wanted to.. some did not) and I'll tell you; there is NOTHING like seeing the grin on their face when they punch it.
Owning a Stage IV 996 Turbo and not sharing it would be (in my opinion) a shame. I get more enjoyment out of seeing their faces and listening to their comments after they drive it than I ever get out of driving it myself.

If they want to drive it, why not. I've had the TT for 3 years now, so it's kinda regular for me. It's so much fun to see people who drive an Explorer every day, get a half hour behind the wheel of a twin turbo porsche. Plus, at the end of the day, a car is just a car.
Pretty much anyone who I know is capable of managing the manual shift has driven it. I agree with others on this string...A lot of what I enjoy is seeing others enjoy it. Plus, as a 17 year old kid, I remember a neighbor having a 1965 Pontiac GTO with a Hurst 4-speed. That a**h*** never did let me drive that car and to this day I've engaged in my own personal crusade to create positive and exciting memories in the minds of a lot of younger people by letting them drive my car. I love it! (and up yours, Lowery).
Thankfully/Sadly, all of my 996 seat time comes from a generous friend. I'm not his best friend/one he's known the longest or anything like that, but he definitely trusts me because he knows that despite only being 21, I drive his car like it's his car
(He realizes I'm responsible and am not going to drive it hard... and that since I grew up around 911s, I know exactly how easy it is for something to go wrong). He knows I'm constantly aware of what's going on around me, will do things like avoid left-turns that could potentially be hazardous, that I'm fearful of being anything but super-gentle to the clutch, etc.
Of course, my own father has only been able to build up the nerve to give me about 30 seconds of seat time in the '67...
I need to find more friends with 911s. Especially since the aforementioned friend just got married and traded his in for a Land Rover Freelander. Plus, I hear this boost thing is pretty incredible...

I let my father and stepmom drive my car (hell they own nicer cars than mine
).
However the only non-familly member I let drive my car is my buddy Justin (Mt3ch is his name on here...)That is only cause he is a good driver and lets me ride his Honda CBR600RR

Glad you asked. I was going to ask the same question.
I let all sorts of people drive my car, especially coworkers who aren't so lucky to be able to own such cars. I'm even willing to let non-stick drivers try it out since the TT is so easy to manage.
There is nothing like sharing your toy and joy with someone else.
The last time I let a "stranger" drive my car was my track instructor, who has never driven a Porsche. He races BMW's.
It was great to see the expression on his face after a few laps and get his opinion on the car's handling.
Heck, I even let my instructor drive his friend around the track several times.
Be generous with your material goods.
