roll bar selection

The road quality in the place I live in is really poor, last night I hit a bump in highway around 200km/h, the car took off and my head hit the roof, fortunately there’s no damage to both car and passengers. For safety concern, I’m thinking to install a roll bar behind driver seats, does anyone know any roll bar which I can install without replace standard electric adjustable seats to bracket one and keep the rear seats?

If you install a roll bar, you can keep the rear seats. You just can't use them for anything other than a (small) sack of groceries.

Thanks for your advice. I found the gap between the seat and the front lower seatbelt mount are really small, if you don’t mind, could you please post some photo of your roll bar, especially around the mounting point. Thanks

Thanks lot for the info, the setting looks really neat. Got one quick question, can I fit the DAS roll bar with stock electric adjustable seats instead using GT3 seats?

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure since I didn't try it, but I am pretty sure that you can. Note that you should not use 5 point harnesses with stock seats. That's covered in some other threads...

I installed the factory Porsche Techquipment roll bar, but I also Installed GT3 seats. I absolutely love it. It looks great and stiffened up the car a bit. The DAS is a stronger rollbar if you do lots of track time.

You should not install a roll bar without high back racing seats to keep your head from hitting it in a crash. You should not install one with the normal Porsche seats. Many, many people do it but it is very dangerous. If you look at slo-mo videos of people in car crashes your body and the belts stretch and goee places in the car you would never imagine. You are far more likely to mash your mush on a roll bar in a car without proper seats then you are to hurt yourself in an unlikely roll over that a roll bar would help you with.

Thanks lot for the advice, if I’m not using 4 or 5 point harness, will that make any difference between bracket seat and stock seat? Thanks
