Just got the Fabspeed installed today. The sound is louder than the cargraphics and has a throatier sound. To tell you the truth I was expecting more sound. Maybe it's because it's brand new and hasn't broken in.

I do have one problem though, the tips have to be pointed down. The Fabspeed Exhaust sits higher than the cargraphics so if my tips are put horizontal to the ground, the tips will hit the body. So my shop had to point them down. They said the way to fix it is take it to a muffler shop and have them build new elbows (the piece from exhaust to tips)

Has anyone had this problem?

thank you

That's a new one to me. It should just bolt right up to the stock manifold, and the height of the tips should not be affected. The only thing that you should notice is that your tips will stick out farther slightly relative to stock.

Do you have headers? Just wondering if your header design (if applicable) is causing the issue?

Also, which unit did you get? The sport or supersport. Sport (less loud version) has one large chamber and the exhaust from each side is rounted into the chamber, to one crossover area, and then back out. Supersport (which is the louder version) has two separate pipes with resonators, and no cross over.

I believe I got the supersport version. I got a great price from Stephen at Imagine Auto. (Stephen, I do hope that is what you sent me) I don't have the S Car Go headers anymore so can't be that problem.

Alex, what are the straight pipes? Is this additional to the exhaust. Do you have any pics?

thanks

No pix but the exhaust you have is "modular"... So within about 15 minutes you can drop the mufflers and simply connect straight pipes from the back of the cat. Less back pressure, more power and a LOT more rumble

Fabspeed sells the attatchment (ask Joe/Stephen) for about $500. But it doesn't "look" great since you can't use stock tips.
