Evoms Gt2
Evoms Gt2
Finally got the car back from Phoenix and took it to the track tonight. The altitude at Bandimere, in Colorado, in 6000 ft above sea level.
I'm having some altitude issues which is to be expected. Todd and EVOMS are working on a few tweaks. The car isn't making as much boost as it should and the a/f is off due to the elevation. Nothing that can't be fixed with some altitude specific tuning.
We took it easy tonight as can be seen by the 1/8 mile times. I'm pleased with the gain in speed from the 1/8 mile to the 1/4 mile. This shows that the car has tremendous potential and, once tuned, should be very fast.
60' 2.056
330 5.243
1/8 7.686
MPH 101.85
1000' 9.721
E.T. 11.436
MPH 132.93
1/4 trap speed is decent even though the 1/8 mile times are a bit slow. It's amazing what 6000 feet and thin air do to cars. Once it's dialed in for this altitude these times should improve. The car trapped at 140 MPH in Phoenix a few days before it was sent to Denver.

The car's a built 3.6L with twin GT30's. I made 720whp on EVOMS dyno. It's struggling to adjust to the altitude and needs a few days being tuned up here at 6000' feet asl.
Todd programmed launch control. We also replaced the tranny with an upgraded version and different gear ratios. First gear is very long.
I'm runny MT DOT approved drag tires on the back. The wheels on the back are 15" Welds matching the rolling diameter of the 19" front wheels.
It's not running well so we have not pushed it. Down in Phoenix it was running really, really strong.
Todd's coming out again so we can spend a day on the dyno. I had it on the Kleemann dyno in Colorado Springs and it made 840HP but is running very rich. Kleemann's dyno calculates crank horse power.
To answer your question, I'm not sure how well it will hook up yet.

The track threw us for a loop that night.......it actually had traction LOL!The only time I have been to Speedworld and it actually hooked!
I don't think there are any vids as we both were only able to make 2 passes each before getting the boot.Mike was taping but the E.T.'s were horrible(we were warned about getting booted so we backed out of the pass after bad launches) so I doubt anyone kept the vids.As far as my car goes Evoms is working on a boost problem that showed up that night in first and second gear. They never noticed it until we put tires on the car and ran it down the track because first and second gear is basically useless on the street with street tires. If they get it figured out in time it will be at the mile.
I ran into Louis (Autodynamica) and just wanted to give a shout out to those who are willing to try EVOMS??? I think he will treat you right and also he can hook u up with a great engine builder :-) He was sporting around in a very sinister black GT800 plus... very nice looking car. Shot some fotos of it .....

Nice man, i'm sure once it's tuned for your altitude and so on it will be night and day!
Haven't seen you post in a while, glad to see the car is running pretty strong!
You have the Blue on Cinnamon GT2 right? I was going to buy that car, so gorgeous
