How about doing something about the ridiculous amount of time it takes to load pages here. I know you guys are all about advertising revenue but c'mon, this is getting absurd.

And I thought this site was always slow because I was downloading **** in the background... phew!

 

This morning I am getting page load errors all over the place ...it appears to be due to issues with the advertising not loading right! I don't mind ignoring that stuff, but when it doesn't work right and takes 'down' the content, it ticks me off.

 

why is there still a lamborghini in the background ?

This site is fast compared to priuschat.com. That site is as slow as the cars.
I think m5board.com is also not as fast as 6speed. Regardless, it is frustrating to have to wait for pages to download.

I have an adblocker running and site seems to load the same for me - give it a try (not sure what browser you use but check versiontracker . com or something like that for recs)

 

I agree, it's slow as hell. This morning I couldn't get a page to even load, but the ad's at the top showed up...shows you what takes precedent in IB's book...

I took the survey that IB offered at the top of the page. It asked several questions, including what I thought about page loading speed. If enough people take the survey and complain about the sluggishness, we may get an improvement. Just a thought.

With pages loading extremely slowly (or not at all), I just close the page and browse to a different forum altogether. All of the ads slowing down the page loads probably aren't real good for the long-term board membership if members can't view the actual content...

I did fill out the survey and commented on this issue, looks like the feedback was ignored.

 

The consumer is fickle. Eventually they'll notice, most likely when ad renewals come up and hits are off by 50%

 

I am on a few other sites, some owned by IB, and none of them load this slow.

It's ridiculous.
