fvd ecu

I swapped an ecu from a friend who had a 2001 tt with fvd stage 2 programing. My car is also an 01 tt but it does not start with the new ecu.. He told me it should just plug in and start,.. easy to hook up but no cranking.
Any help would be appreciated.

It needs to be flashed with your VIN...until it has your VIN, it is a paperweight...

Yup , you need to have the VIN from the car the ECU came out of, Take to Porsche or a someone with a PEST and it will work with no issues, Make sure they do not re flash the stage 2 to a stock flash or its just a waste of money

Kilrgt, what kind of clutch do you have ? SSK ?
Can you post a picture of your front bumper ?
I'm upgrading mine real soon.

Hi rock
Believe it or not I don't use a SSK, i do have a BM one but it just sits on the shelf,Its not that i don't like it, I just really like the stock one.I don't have the front bumper anymore and I guess i should update my sig.I just posted this on a different thread, it shows you what it looks like https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2077449 forth post
The clutch i use is by FVD here is the link:

Kilrgt, I kept my B&M SSK in the garage aswell. I did installed the 997 shifter. Trust me on this one, do it ! It's exactly the same as shifting a new 997 GT3 RS. Unreal.
Also, in regards to the clutch, is it difficult to launch from first when you are in a hurry ? And every time from a regular standing still ? To me it is, and I'm about to go to FVD and replace my Sacks stage II LWFW.
Thanks,
Rock
