7.9 second 60 to 130 run
First off his name is Jim. Not John. And yes, I've spoken with Jim about the VBOX numerous times in the past. I also just sent him your file, and he agreed that you had multiple satellite dropouts on your 7.x runs (the first two).
We exported your runs to Google Earth and it looks you were on 261 during your first 2 and went under 4 overpasses (I won’t post the names of the roads here). The 3rd run you were on a different road (begins with an ‘I’) and it was clear. You ran an 8.38 on that run.
Robert, I could give a flying **** about your tune. I dont care if you have REVO or Walmart, if you are happy....I am happy for you. As for what evidence I have, none other than what the manufacturer of the unit told me. This is a pretty slick device for only a few hundred dollars but it is only a 10Mhz GPS engine. 10 updates per second, one every .1 second. Now, if a satellite drops out for just one of those cycles in a second.... consider it a movie with 10 frames per second, lose a few frames(satellites) per second. The movie doesnt end, you are still watching it, but did you(the Pbox) really see everything.... good luck on the next runs, I am sure they will improve.
Hey Robert, you seem like a real good guy and the guys that run with you on weekend's speak highly of you as well.
Dont let this BS get the best of you.
Here's a thought you started the Turbo Registry so go ahead and start your own 60-130 site.
It would be easier for you and less BS you have to deal with.

Yes, that is what I posted above.
"During a 60 to 130 run, if the satellite gets a good start time (sets the time code when you hit 60MPH) and end time (sets the time code when 130 MPH is achieved) it doesn’t matter how many times the satellite drops out during the run, the time is VALID. It only needs to know the start and stop time."

I do not have the data, I can have a neutral look at the non-filtered/non-corrected data, if you want(I work with dbn files every day and code some analysis tools for it).
your run may contain valid results, but it is not guaranteed. I can understand the maintainers of the list that they only accept files without dropouts, for work duty reasons.
robert has always been more than helpful with me when i've had questions for him, just this week even, about race gas... Divv, we definitely appreciate what you do in terms of posting the times and i've always enjoyed your input on this forum... fact of the matter ... is his run valid? if it is, despite the loss of some of the sats, maybe you guys should just post his time... i don't see how 2 smart guys like yourselves can't agree on that one point... if it isn't, robert will be running sometime soon and i'm sure he can get some new times, but the point still remains... was his run valid??
It only makes sense NOT to have any drop outs during the 60 to 130 run... and that seems to be the standard on this board that I and many other abide by....
I am sure the runs can be redun without any drop outs... and for sake or argument I would do it and call it a day.

Mark,
Robert wants special considerations. He doesn't want to abide by the same standards/rules that you, me and everyone else on this forum has to abide by. Rather than go out and get some more runs in, he chose to become nasty, and call into question both my and KPG's integrity.
That sealed the deal for me. I'm now done with him. He can get all the runs he wants to from this point forward, but I'm not going to validate them nor am I posting them up on the 6speed list.
Now that's definitely the pot calling the kettle black.
Maybe I should link everyone to your first posts on this forum. They give clear insight into your personality and attitude.
Arrogance much?

Robert,
Take a week off to cool down.
1) You cannot make personal attcks on members here.
2) If you have an issue following the rules that have been set forth regarding the 1/4 mile and 60-130 list, I suggest that you do not submit any of your results.
3) You have a fast car and you know how to drive it well, this however does not give you the right to act like you have in this thread.
Thanks.
