In my 01 turbo I get a sort of gag(checked PSM) or slow down all the way up to about 90mph always just around the peak powerband point. I'm not real familiar with awd so I am hoping it is just wheel spin as its almost like a clunking sound. When car gets much hotter sometimes prob goes away which perhaps enhances my wheelspin theory.

Car didnt have this prob before install nor did my old 01 turbo. My old 01 stock turbo ran 11.96 my first pass ever at the track and i haven't been able to get the new upsoluted past 12.3. in 4 tries. Maybe traction due to more power but I think the gag or spin is the culprit.

Something doesn't add up as I've replaced div valves but am afraid to go to shop because of warranty.

what kind of boost are you seeing?

 

While the clunking sound could be wheel hop if it were isolated to only 1st gear, I'd have to say that something else is amiss with your car if you are experiencing this all the way through 90mph... try the plugs first, perhaps you are misfiring? Blown hose or connector, though that wouldn't really "clunk". See if there's a knowledgeable person in your area or shop who can give you a possible diag. If you do a lot of launches, it could be the dif or tranny. Does it only clunk when you launch or anytime you are driving?
