Need tire suggestions for 750-800 rwhp
Very informative... Thanks guys!!
What is best for 600 whp? Hre said they don't recommend 305 for my offset, so I got to work with 295.
Is 555r still the choice for 295?
What about the front?

Are you RWD? Iam at a similar power level and have had great luck with the Toyo R888 (315/30 and 235/40 on stock twists). Its an R-compound road race tire that is Y-rated. It hooks in all gears with my GT700 RWD. If you are still AWD you can go with almost any tire, imo. The 555r is only Z rated so I would probably not run a standing mile with that tire. For the street and strip Iam sure they are good.
I have had 18" 555Rs and 18" Mickey Thompson ET Streets. No comparison whatsoever. ET Streets hook waaaaaaaay better and handle waaaaaaaaay worse. I would also go with BFG drag radials over Nittos. Toyo R888s are a good all around tire but have tons of road noise.
Thanks for the info..
I'm RWD but I contacted HRE and they said for my off set 48 18/8.5 and 45 18/11.5 they don't recommend 315 or 305
might rub
Whats best for 295 tire and mostly street and highway pulls?

of Michelin PS2's and call it good! Best "All Around Tire" which it just so happens was the tire of choice for One Lap of America (for combo drag, road coarse and all weather blasts on the highway).

On a 700+ rwhp Z06, the Nittos 555Rs are essentially worthless.
Apples to oranges comparison.
That said, I ran Mickey Thompsons on my Z06 and loved them. Much better than BFG DRs. But on a Porsche, the Nittos are better than both for the street.

I have one question for you. Do you like canyon driving with your tire set up?

What is the downside of them? ( for street use )
What are they like on a circuit?
Can someone please give the full name & spec ,description of the tire being recommended .

On a 700+ rwhp Porsche, the Nitto 555Rs are by far the better tire.

I never tried the R888s, but I have tried the NT01's which are supposed to be almost identical. As long as they are warm, they will hook wonderfully (but they aren't as sensitive to temperature as MPSCs are).
That said, the NT01's aren't as consistent as the 555Rs, which will pretty much hook all the time.
