I was able to work out a deal with the dealer for the 01,996tt with 18 k miles. Thanks to Markski for recommending this tech - very detailed and patient in answering questions.

I am finally getting closer to getting the car i wanted for so long..hopefully the time to change my screen name.

So basically the tech told me all looks good in this car. No second gear pop outs and over revs.

These are the things the dealer recommended to be changed.
1. CV boots front inner and outer is busted so needs to be replaced.
2. If needed replace axles if they have oil on them too.
3.Brake fluid flush
4.Front tires (N1 rating) are older than 6 yrs so needs to be replaced. They have atleast 75% thread left in them. is this very imp??

so the above is said to be in normal range.

I asked the my independent dealer to take care of all this stuff before i buy this car or drop the price so i can get it done. The total estimate was 6k from loeber porsche dealer to fix the car.

Let me know if i am missing anything as far as a PPI??
