I ran an 11.06 at 129.77 on 93 octane on Michelin PS2's. 60-130 was 7.84. Car has a flash, dv's, waste gates, exhaust. It now has a new clutch.

Agreed, on the local city streets even those vettes, vipers, and others are running race gas. However, I think pump gas tune and time should be tried, isn't it important what will happen on that one unexpected drive where you go WOT on pump? It is worse for us in Denver, as our best pump fuel is 91. A step above water.

Fair enough Joe, You ran higher boost on pump gas than anyone would recommend
and ran very fast (yes you are also a good drag racer!)

Now would you sell/condone the fact that someone who purchases a GT700 package
should be able to replicate those numbers in their car on pump gas???

I did see PIMP/DMK (nitrous cooled intercoolers/very lightweight car/race gas/monster of a GT700+/fastest stock internal GT700 that Toddd Z had seen) run higher than 136 trap at Arizona that day. It was a really quick car!!! I also saw alot of runs in the 11's as well. I have video
and notes from that day at my office.

It's a '02 Gt2. I estimate it to weigh around 3400 lbs with a half a tank of fuel and driver. The run was at MIR, the track and climate conditions were perfect that day. I believe it was last November and the temperature was in the high 40s; low 50's. I think with the tires and clutch that I have now, I might have broken into the 10's. Here is a copy of the slip and a snapshot at the end of the run.

Very impressive from a stock turbo car. I guess the light weight and the K24's are enough, along with nearly ideal conditions, for no timing to be pulled.

Definetely!that was the best running setup(all around)I have had to date.It ran awesome for 5000 miles of trouble free driving.17-18psi is not too much boost for pump on those kits,I don't understand why you make it like it was twisted to the *****,when it wasn't.and had i run race gas in it it would have probably went mid 10's at 138 at E-town.

Yeah like 138.....Don't forget Mike (Chinito)West did the same time as me with a full weight AWD non nitrous intercooled race gas tuned GT700 run 10.8 @138 in the heat in AZ.That car was probably the fastest of all yet it made standard Gt700 power.I guess you just have to be willing to make more than a few passes to get a good number.Your car is capable of the same you just have to be willing to run it a few times to get a good number.

I heard he is a superb 1/4 driver... not to mention that he had the improved GT700 set up with NEW turbos... that is what someone that also had a GT700 and was at the track told me...
Either way, 138 mph in summer heat is very good... very good... to say the least...

being new to 1/4 in a stick car, can you guys explain at what point do you let the clutch go? ie., 2nd to 3rd light, etc? I guess it doesn't matter much since reaction time is not so important.

Also, at what rpm are you launching to get those times. typically a 138 mph pass is good for low 10's, but you would have to drop the clutch at rpms that are not conducive to drivetrain survival. So I am guessing you guys are going at between 2200 and 2800 and easing the clutch out, not dropping it?

Joe,

I agree with your above numbers.
Chinoto ran some phenominal traps!!!
9eleven GT2 is a whole different ball game and not directly comparable
(although you have run AMAZING numbers)

All of my local buddies laugh at my granny launch, granny shifted 11.03 ET as well.
I will have a 10, just havent yet!!

I'm curious what flash and exhaust you are running? I have FVD Flash, Gemballa exhaust, DV's, drop-in filter and EVO wastegates on my GT2 and my 60-130 times are no better than 9 seconds flat on pump gas. Never been down the 1/4, but my 1/4 trap using my P-Box is never better than 122. Obviously I need to get into a different flash or change my exhaust?

Orton Flash and Europipe Stage II (Quiet). It dynoed just over 500 hp to the wheels at 1.2 bar.
