which turbo setup to go with??

for a tiptronic 996tt which is the best set up for street only use... some say the hybrid K16/16g is the ideal set up for less lag.. some others say the K24/18g is the best... again its only for street use, no track.. just want something that is quick light to light and will keep up with or beat 997tt's and GTR's on the street.

thanks

I would go with just K24 and a good chip. I am not a big hybrid fan, love Garretts.

If you're after low-end torque for stop light to stop light racing, the k16/16g's are probably a great option. From what I read here, they have even less lag than stock k16's, but also provide more mid-range and top-end power.

If you like doing highway pulls, the k24/18g's are probably a better option. They have more lag than the k16 or k16/16g, but have MUCH more mid-range and top-end power. If you were to drive an 18g, you wouldn't really think the lag is an issue at all. If you stay above 3,000 rpm, they will provide nearly instant power.

Just my $0.02...

Sorry to dissapoint all the Hybrid fans out there. I have a friend in Socal here that beats all 700 kits with just K24 and 1 Bar chip, even faster than K24/18g. I have seen him in action from 1st gear to top gears in person. Just facts and my opinion only.

You should look for a set of k16/GT28's. You should also do DV's and a BMC filter with an free flowing exhaust and a flash and that there is a very simple 500 RWHP.
