Help - Air Leak

I pressurized my intake to 7.5 psi and hear an air leak on the top of the intake manifold to the Drivers side of the center around the device circled.

I can't get to it with a soap spray bottle.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Do I need to pull the motor?

TIA - Steve

Maybe it's that hose connection that is leaking? That would certianly be the easiest fix. I doubt that you'll have to pull the motor to get to this, but it will be a pain.

Good luck!

Angry Unbelievably Pissed!

Thanks for the advice FAST FWD.

So I lowered the motor and redid the Diverters and F hose (turning the clamps the right way this time - That's why I had to lower the motor).

My drivers side Intake Manifold is cracked on the top next to the screw boss that holds the low pressure intake from the Air Filter to the Turbos.

It looks like the tech (Porsche Certified on contract to a SoCal Shop) lowered the motor without undoing the circled bolt and cracked the manifold. He then plastic repaired the manifold with a gray hard sealant of some kind and that is where the leak is (circled area in the picture).

Now I will have to pull the motor to replace the manifold ! ! !

Man, that really sucks. Seems to me that the sealant is clear evidence that they broke it and should make good on it.

In my case, the new diverter valves and F-hose came with screw clamps. It's really stupid to put those spring clamps in a place that is so hard to get to. I had to buy an extra-long needle nose vise-grip to get the clamps off.

Good luck with the repair.
