K24 performance difference between
Is there a performance difference between the 993tt k24 and the 996tt k24? i know the 993 hotside is clocked differently with the wastagate. i know that the 993 will not have water provisions for cooling, but im wondering if the performance of the turbo will be the same?
i believe i already know the answer, since the CHRA's are the same. but i want to be sure. these are not going on a porsche. i was looking at a couple pairs of 993 k24s and the price obviously is MUCH cheaper. i was going to do a k24/18g setup with these turbos also. thank you again.

question does not make sense, as they are different turbos and neither have water hook-ups. They both are oil cooled and they are not the same units.

I think the water hook ups, start with GT28's. Correct me if I am wrong MK
Water hook-ups are typically on Real Garrats
GT28's 30's, and 35's, etc.
Evoms, Speed Gallery, etc sell a wonderful turbo that is a
hybrid GT28 and it is not water cooled like the ball-bearing Garrat.
These hybrid GT28's and K24/18g's are popular because they are a direct bolt on
to our headers (factory or aftermarket) and our exhaust system.
Water cooled Garrats take Mucho $$$$ and fab to work.

them. No factory Porsche 911 series have had factory water cooled turbos.

ok so both are only oil cooled. didnt know this, just started to research this. thank you for that/
