Corey there are lots of options, do a search and you will find lots and lots of setups, see which one you like the best for you car and order it up...its a very cheap way of making sure everything is bang on.here is a quck pick of my Brockway...but you should know this already.....
notice the 14.7........A good tune goes a long way!

I ordered the Durametric program which lets you look at lambdas off the 02 sensors. You can also log a bunch of other data like intake temp, rpm, ect...
Plus you can see over-revs and clear codes.

Doesn't allow you to view the AF easily or on the fly. If you're out on the highway adding boost or at the limits of your fuel supply, you AF gauge will you right away. If you have to have the laptop in the car, log it, review it, it's a few extra steps that don't allow easy checking.

I just threw the laptop in the car but its probably not as easy as other options but gives alot more info though.

Do you need to monitor a/f ratio for both banks, so need two a/f meters. Or, is monitoring the a/f ratio of one bank sufficient?

You don't need 2 but 2 is always better than 1.
If you can see the A/F from the 2 banks and they are the same you can be sure the engine is running fine..

Also, should you get a narrow-band or wide-band a/f meter? What is the difference between the two as far as what they monitor and the ease/difficulty of installation? Thanks.

You can watch both banks with the Brockway, see my pic in this thread, it shows B1 and B2.
