California...

This come us A LOT. Do a search. Simple answer is that the on-line 'warranties' (actually mechanical break down insurance') are extremely limited and rare.

You will need to buy from a brick and mortar store. Takes more work to find who is selling what, then to do the research on ones that look promising. Remember to always read the POLICY, not the FLYER, to determine what might get covered. Do not rely on what they SAY.

Figure 3k-5k for a3yr 36 to a 5yr 60..my guess

hey Flash68, I'll be honest since I've gone through the fine print on a bunch of those aftermarket warranty policies and first and foremost they are _not_ even as "complete" as a factory one. I also highly doubt they would come to your rescue on anything serious because once they send an adjuster/claims guy out to check over the car they'll decline/deny it based on the current mods. It'll get worse in terms of the mods your planning too;(

Yes Fidelity and Total Shield both offer ext warranties in Calif. I am heading to the dealership shortly and will be getting more info on the Fidelity one (the dealership referred me to them).

I also had a good call with the Total Shield rep earlier this week.

Fidelity offers a 2 yr/24k and Total Shield offers a 1 yr/12k warranty in CA.

Yeah I am a little skeptical, but if I have some specific dealer people on my side I am thinking it might work out. I dunno. Still debating.

And yes the mods will have to happen as I am not happy with the power level currently!

You may have great calls (like phone sex) but it will all be letter of the law (contract) later.

Who am I to say, though- I bought a 3 year 36 when my car was still under warranty for only $2200 from a P dealer (i didn't buy the car there)..it is an aftermarket/3rd party.

Then the mod bug bit.

I've written off my drivetrain warranty.

Ha. Yeah I meant the good call was informative and was a referral from a modified 6speed member.

Yeah the mod bug is a nasty one.

Are the mods in your sig all of them? And white type of claims have you filed so thus far?

as far as your mods are concerned, just go to an indy shop that is mod friendly and you'll be fine.
can you send the link for the place where you bought your warranty....
