There has been more than 1 person who has done damage to their engine running too much boost on pump gas (1.3+ bar).

I will say that when running GOOD fuel, I'm much more liberal with the boost. I turn it up to 1.2 bar with 103 octane and it really screams. I know others here turn it up to 1.3 - 1.4 bar with good fuel and haven't had any problems.
this is good info adam! im one of those guys that did damage my engine...

Thanks for the advice Adam
As 100 Ron is the very best available here I guess I should stick to 1 bar

Do you think I'll get any benefit from a Proto intake and IC's when running 18g's at 1bar with this fuel?

If it were me, I wouldn't run more than 1.05 bar on pump fuel.

I'm not familiar with England, but over here race gas is widely available. I thought it was hard to come by as well, but found it pretty easily. I live in a small town, so if I can find it, you may be able to as well.

I think it's a great idea to run the Proto intake and IC's. With the larger diameter Proto intake, you'll be pushing more air at a given boost level, so it will help performance. The IC's are also an advantage, especially in warmer weather. They will keep your ECU from pulling timing when temps rise, which will increase performance as well.

I'm also interested in doing the Proto intake. If you end up doing it, please post your thoughts on it.

I'm interested in doing the intake too. If anyone has done the proto intake or something similar I'd love to hear your thoughts about it.
