I'm thinking of putting an exhaust on mt GT2. I want something that you can feel but not louder than stock. Has anyone done before and after testing? How much real HP can I expect? How much will I have to spend? I don't want to chip the car because of warrenaty concerns so the exhaust should work with a stock dme. thanks carl

So much for the fabspeed super sport. My exhaust is loud, but I love it.

Cargraphic has 3 sound levels.. Quiet is as quiet as stock and still gives the 28.5HP net increase

The Meduim is nice because idle is same as stock but exhaust note comes to life when your on throttle

I agree with what everyone has said thus far but to be frank the best way is for you to judge what ehxuast is good for you in person. I always tell our customers to come by and listen to a few different ones. I could tell you mine is quiet but that doesn't mean it's quiet for you

Where are you based? I'm sure some fellow 6speeders would be keen on letting you listen

EP II Quiet sounds appropriate for your needs.

Give them a listen.

Alex, do you know who around here has cargraphic pipes that I can listen to (M/L) ?
I heard cargraphics cost a pretty penny.

I don't know if you can "feel" any exhaust if that is your sole mod. Pick one that sounds good and tips that look good.

The thing I don't want is DRONEING in the car. It can be a little louder than stock but I do want a real performance improvement. Just a better sound isn't worth $4K to me.

Heya Collin, I don't know of anyone around here that does have it. Maybe Michelle and HZ can fill us in? I heard it at the shoot out however and it was a great sounding exhaust.

Im on my 4th exhaust from various board sponsers, I drive an 04 X50. I share your concern about warranty issues regarding altering the ECU, although MANY here have done so without problems. From the exhausts I have tried, truthfully, I doubt you will notice a significant HP gain unless you chip the car. You WILL NOTICE significant differences in noise and resonance between the various manufacturers compared to stock and to each other. If you wish to PM me and I will be glad to share with you my personal experiences.
