Shortening the rod will only change the engagement point.......it will still feel like an on-off switch....i did both .....but if you only care about the engagement point try shortening the rod first.

Perfect i need the engagement point to change, to an unexperienced driver like my wife or for that matter even the dealer struggles to drive it. I dont mind the on/off switch at this point just need a normal engagement point.

usually you shorten it when the realease is too low

YEs of course.... but another sneeky thing to do is make a custom master pin that moves back and forth... you can cut it and put an adjustable one.... it helps a little...

I have the same problem with my clutch kit, engages to high. I remember reading that you can remove a spring under the pedal to lower the engagement point?

For me I don't really have a problem with the pedal feel. From what I am reading the Evoms gt2 slave cylinder will just make the pedal feel stonger but the engagement point will still be high. I want something that will bring down the engagement point further into the pedal travel. The car is not very fun to drive right now.

I do not believe the GT2 conversion will change the engagement point, only provide better control and feel. However, sending out your pressure plate AND disk to Clutchmasters for the upgraded clamp force and subsequent indexing will. They will index/prep the parts, so that they grab at the soonest possible point, while still allowing complete disengagement when the pedal is fully depressed (they know how to adjust the PP fingers to begin to engage almost immediately based on the disk provided for measurement). My clutch begins to grab just slightly off the floor. It has been driven all year and the engagement point has remained in the same spot. I believe Mike Kelly had the same treatment and the same "near the floor" grab point after his modification by Clutchmasters...I have said it before and I will mention it again - the GT2 clutch conversion is a great modification for these cars, too.

Thanks for sharing John. I am getting used to this set up now. I just hammered a 650HP viper today only at 1.2bar. Too bad from my phone the video quality is very poor. I will post nice videos coming soon. Car is running strong.

I'm not sure what clutch I have in the car as I just got it but it does engage very high, I definitely want to shorten the throw but don't know exactly where to pull this pin from?

Under the car or under the clutch pedal to adjust the engagement point.
