i rode a bunch of harleys but finally decided on a Victory Vegas. I liked it better than the harleys and i have yet to see another one on the road around here. KPV i used to ride sport bikes (had a 996) but prefer to go fast with a cage around me and just cruise on the bike. It's just too dangerous. I agree though there is nothin like carving up a road on a 996/998.

Here's my ride (photo from ebay but identical to my bike)

Andreas,
Very impressive, the sport bikes, the wife (no ill intent, just a compliment), the choppers.
Do you still own them all?
I am dying to ask, how do you like the 999 compared to the 748? Have you ever ridden a 996 or 998 to compare?

I've got to echo your comments from earlier KPV - Hardley Movingsons don't seem to fit with the mod performance madness of some of our friends here. But it's the *** cheeks on the saddle staring at the sky riding position that I just can't grasp. Having said that, I ride UK farming equipment - i.e. Triumph 955 Sprint. Guess I could have gone for the Rocket III with it's Viper sized pistons!

If you're going to buy a Harley folks, please don't put the leather streamers on the handlebars. Please!

My buddy has a 999. Like i said, i had a 996. The 999 is a better bike all around. It is more comfortable, more reliable, as fast or faster, as nimble or moreso, etc. I definitely like the old 996/998 styling more though.
