I do have them all. And I do ride them all. As for the two Ducati bikes, The 748 R is alot more aggressive in its riding position than the 999R. The 999R is just awsome. More power and come on lower in the power band. It is all carbon fiber and magnesium then painted red!! Just an incredible machine. Pictures on paper do not do this bike justice. You have to see it in person. As for the customs, well the new chopper 141 cubic inches and is a hand full. It is a twin plug engine which puts out 185+ hp and to a 240 rear tire. It is a ridgid frame with a suicide shift (no hand clutch, you have a foot clutch and a hand shifter) think about that for a minute and you will see what I mean by "hand full".

No putting that left foot down when coming to a stop sign or light and watch out for those left turns and hills. It was actually just shot for the cover of Easyriders and will be in one of those motorcycle show on the travel network and Fox owned Speed Channel.

HOLY **** i totally missed your pictures before. Those are some GORGEOUS bikes (wife isn't bad either :thumbsup. Is the bottom simms hot pink on matte grey? That is very pimp. Where in CA are you? I'm probably bringin my Vegas out there soon, would love to find some people to ride with.

Are the choppers fun to ride and easy to maintain? I would love to get a custom chopper like that some day but i fear that i would be giving up too much convenience for the looks/coolness and then would never actually ride the thing.

I am in California in Hollister just south of San Jose!! The choppers are a blast to ride but just different!!

amg eater - your Dad bought you the duc b4 you had permit? Now a TT? Does your pops in some way not like you - joking - no teenager no matter what they say can be responsible enough for a ducatti and a TT - they are just to much to handle at that age ( in know I would have killed myself with either toy at that age)

 

To answer the original poster's question, yes, I have ridden the VRod. Great bike, lots of power, and definitely unique styling. You can buy one relatively cheap now too. I would like to have a 100th Anniv edition to keep as a collectors item.

 

chopper guys, how do the bikes handle with those super wide rear tires? i bet that takes some getting used to

 

FYI - Triumph is coming out with the rocket, a three cylinder 2300 cc monster putting out 150 hp and 180 lbs of torque. The pistons are the size of the pistons found in 500 ci Viper. The bike weighs 700lbs and will do zero to 60 in 2.8 seconds reportedy. It will mostlikely will be named the fastest production bike in the world. Yes - faster than the Suzuki hyabusa.
