1.5 bar
1.5 bar
All input greatly appreciated
According to softronic I have the 1.1 bar program as requested but my car is hitting 1.5 bar. I have the k24 18g turbos with headers, exhaust, dv's, fuel pressure regulator, bmc filter, flywheel and clutch. Dont seem to have a problem with the maf because no lights are turning on. Outside temperature is 45 degrees. I played with the actuator rod to see if it would help but made no difference. Any suggestions?
thanks
joel

Are your wastegate operating correctly?? Moving freely, not bound up?
You can check this by applying pressure to them (ie remove the hose and attach an adjustable pressure source) and checking motion- I don't have a calibration per se, but they should just break free with 8-12 psi... make sure they do open...

could be the drop in temps... are you running stock WG springs? if not make sure you didnt mess up the WG settings....
I had a car without any cels and it alos had 18gs and it turned out to be the maf...
run afrs asap.. that will tell you if ur maf is bad... car should run leaner it it is...
also,
is it running goo onder boots or are you getting some hesitation and or backfire etc...

I have stock K24s and a 70mm Speedtech exhaust in my 05 TT S with the
Softronic flash. They tell me I should be hitting 1.2 bar, I would think that
with your setup you would be at a higher boost than 1.1. The higher the
boost the more hp right?

Check your vacuum hose coming off your y pipe to the factory solenoid. My tech left mine loose about a year ago and when I left his shop I was running 1.1 - 1.3 bar w/stock set up! GL!
How would you check your AFRs?
Can you do this on Durametric?

yes u can but its not direct... u look at the 02 sensor readings... bets way is to either have a unit that does it all the time or a program with a laptop( not as accurate as the real one like a AEm)...

Will check thanks for the tip
hence,
since u already did it and it did not fix the problem you should put it back to the original pistition....
u need to pressure test the WGs and see where they open and look at the psi... then adjust the the other side to the exact setting....
this is not something I recommend for someone who does not even know if he has or has not stock WGs....
call ur tuner and follow instructions before u start changing things.... Im sure they will make u run a durametrics to see if the maf and or afrs are out of wack.... its simple and probably the first thing to do...
good luck
