Thanks guys. I thought about keeping the wheels - but really would like the money to put towards ECU or Exhaust.

So need to work that out and see what would be best.

Love the yellow stitching on your car. Great find and don't push her too often, tickets are expensive!

I have been known to get some tickets in my time. I know there is no way to get out of them with this monster - I'm just trying to buy sometime.....

Linko4,

That's just the factory lip that comes on the TT stock bumper.

996TTSCAB is infamous around these parts
Great looking TT! Enjoy it in good health. I am glad to hear that it paid to be patient for so long and be determined. I bought my first 996TT without knowing anything about them a little too fast. I saw it, liked it and bought in in less than 2 hours. For my second 996TT which I currently own took about a week to find it and I bought it the same day. I wish I had that kind of patience, so this way I won't have any regrets after I buy things. A big lesson learned...

996TTSCAB,

I hear you man, Sometimes when we want something, we don't think about the problems and then we learn our lesson in a bad way.

Many people used to laugh and shake their heads at me - because I wouldn't just go and buy a car. I really didn't want to regret this decision - so I was very careful. Now looking back at it - yeah it took a while, but I feel the decision to wait and find the right car - was the correct one.

I'm happy any way...

Really this board was all the help. I learned the quarks and ups and downs on these cars - and knew what to look for - far past just the whole 2nd gear pop out issues. That made me a much better buyer and educated.

If any of you are out there buying a 996TT - stick on this board and stay quite - use the search buttons and ask good questions etc. It will pay off big time!
