OT ideas for convertible
Duane, knowing you and how much you love TORQUE I suggest the SL55. By far the best convertible due to its retractable hard top.
Best of luck Duane. FYI, Dick told me he saw you and trust me, I too am very disappointed in Dave!

Duane,
Doesn't the Carrera GT count as a convertible?
If you want something just plain bad ***, I'd say get a Ruf R Turbo cabriolet like Jay Morrison's. Except specify it with the Nardo engine package. 590hp of pure bliss... and lotsa torque.
Or get a C2 cab and pop a GT3 motor in it... 8200 revs of pure fun, and the car Porsche never built...

My cousin runs a DB7 Volante. A really pretty car, but only a tourer - it sounds great and looks stunning, but it's a bit unreliable, and the interior is just crap, despite all the hand finished leather and wood. Not too practical, even given the number of AM dealers in the UK, and no idea about how you'd cope in the States. Residuals speak for themselves. Wait for the DB9 Volante - now that'll be something else if it's ever built.
I would have put my vote in for a Maserati. Not too sure about the handling of the stock car though having recently seen one wallowing around a track.
Why not go back to the M3 cab? Good little go-kart.

A couple of months ago, the missus was chatting to a salesman at the dealership over here in Surrey (OT - this was while I was looking at a 550 that Eric Clapton had just owned for 6 months while he was waiting for his Enzo - £60k depn LOL. And we think we've got problems with the Porsche market) and he was at pains to emphasise that the 03 models were bulletproof. He was having to try to convince her away from the possible alternative of a 996 cab though! Apparently they sell next to no Maseratis to women over here, which seems to be a wasted opportunity given the nature and looks of the car.

or Z4M in the bmw range... how about a little lotus?cheap and fun !
