OT ideas for convertible

I am considering getting a convertible. I sold my m3 Cab in early summer and now that its starting to cool down again I am getting the itch. Any ideas or suggestions?

The spider is more than I want to spend, the sl55 is one of my options.

How about something completly diffrent? A used Rolle-Royce Corniche, it's not a sports car but you seem to have plenty of those..

I'm talking about the old ones, those look so good. The new ones just don't do it for me.

Ya most likely I will stay away from the f55's. What are 360 spiders trading at now?

ESK is infamous around these parts
My father was offered $189k from a dealer for his 2001 6spd Spider. They're still selling for $25k above list.

How about an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante? Talk about depreciation, I was offered an '01 auto with low miles for $100k in June. They may be less now. The car listed for around $165k. Except for the top, which is a pain in the *** with the boot, I think it's the prettiest car out there.

But, the SL55 is the way to go. Probably below list now for a slightly used one.

Life's fun!

If you are a BMW guy, stay away from any MB. No offense to 03 C4S, but, I have driven all the new AMG's except the S-class. They are fast as hell, but the numb steering, slushbox, heavy weight, and poor handling have me longing to get back in my P-car. The new E55 although much faster, recently lost in a couple of Comparos to the outgoing M5 becuase it just didn't handle as well and the fun factor was not there. You want a cab, go with the C4S cab or turbo cab. A couple of my friends have M3's and although they are not convertables, I enjoy driving them and feel much more in tune with the road than I did drive the SL55. Your SL 55 alternative is a boulevard cruiser. If that is what you want, it is a great car, but, for me I like a little more involving driving experience. Take care and good luck.
