Anyone got a DIY or some tips on polishing oxidized headlights?

What do you guys use to keep'em looking new? Mine are hazy and pitted

Probably pick up agood plastic polish at any auto parts/home depot.

It will really work, but be prepared for some elbow grease.

If you want to fix this once and for all, follow these steps.
1. clean lens with plastic cleaner (McGuires has one)
2. sand with 1000-1200 grit sand paper (it looks like you ruined it)
3. spray with clear coat, as you spray the scratches disappear and lens
will look brand new and never need to be done again.

I have done this on several lenses with great results.
Some body shops will perform this for you for $50-$125

I'll see how they come out with just trying to sand them with a 2000 and buffing with plastic polish...if not than I'll definatelly try the clearcoat approach I might even tint it a little than.

I buffed and polished before. But without the clear coat the yellowish
haze returns in a few weeks if parked in the sun.
I don't have any before pics. I have done a Suburban, Lexus SC400 & GS300.

I've used a headlight cleaning kit sold for $19.99 in autozone. The kit comes with sand paper and plastic polishing agent. However the most important part is the plastic clearcoat. Unless protected with clearcoat, the headlights will quickly return to less than presentable state. I've used it on my camry and it did result in crystal clear headlights.
