1.6 bar in 3rd gear

After installing stage 4GT with a 100 octane program, the car is officially nuts. I was driving the car pretty hard last night in 68 degree weather and hit 1.6 bar in 3rd gear. Anyone who is considering this kit should do it. Also, if anyone wants to go for a ride, you're more than welcome to come down and take one. It's scary.

Don't know the exact numbers yet. We have to put the car on our dyno. We will find some time very soon.

Todd from EVO will have my car in his booth at German Auto Fest. The car is not finished yet, I'm still waiting on different wheels and a few other things. Todd made this special 100 octane program for us. He can explain it all at German Auto Fest.

Is it safe to run 1.6 bar? You obviously have modified turbos correct?

Yes, the turbos are different. How long will it last, don't know? I'm just going to put a ton of miles on the car and beat it up and see what happens. It is still a daily driver.

hey mat sounds like me.. except that are you sure it's actually 1.6 bar and not just hitting the 1.3bar limit and shutting the throttle body down and running in safe .5mode? That was happening to me.. Unless you already have a way around that.. with the modified MAF etc..?

Sharky, it's really 1.6 bar. I'll take you for a ride in the car. I hit 1.6 bar by 3600 RPM's.

The titanium exhaust sounded like crap, so we sent it back to Japan to be rebaffled. We should have another one back here in a couple of weeks. It was only about 5 db's louder than stock.

Thanx for your reply and sorry for diverting the conversation. Congrats on your stage4GT. A frined of mine sent his engine to EVO to make it into a stage 4GT instead of a regular stage 4. can't wait to see how fast his car will be. Too bad I got a TIP LOL
