best pics I've seen so far, when will it be released and can anyone recommend a dealer that would have an early release spot available or does anyone want to sell their spot?

Most dealerships are not even taking orders yet, just names... some dealers are taking depisits, but they are not supposed to... I really cant exactly recomend a dealership, I would say the best dealership would be the one closest to you... they should be comming our spring/summer '05 with the coupe... Ferrari has realsed no word at all on the spider... (I was just at the Ferrari dealership yesterday checking up on my order, so my info is pretty up to date... and BTW, they had a 612, a Quatraporte and 3 360CSs there... such amazing automobiles)

thx for the details on dealer/dates ... I was hoping there was a dealer in the middle of nowhere USA that would still have some high spots available, out in CA (or FL, NY, etc) the list is always too long.

I would want the coupe, I was born tanned so a convertible is out of the question

Sad thing is, no new Porsche model is getting this much excitment (997 )
Even the CGT seems not to be such a big deal, Enzo sells for almost double MSRP, CGT from what I gather, are fairly easy to get at MSRP, Porsche needs to add some bling to new cars.

Its is true that dealerships that are not in major metropolition areas have a shorter waitlist, however, these dealerships also have a smaller allocation, so they get less cars... it usually evens itself out... Try Ferrari of Washington, they are one of the few dealerships that are taking deposts, they will tell you exactly (or close to exactly when) you are going to recieve your car... But they charge 10 grand to put your name down, and most ferrari dealerships only charge 5...

Here in Dubai the earliest coupe allocation is 14 months from now (they are only getting 13 cars up until then)...
I put a deposit on a spider and am contemplating a Gallardo now...Need to sell the TT first of course...

According to a dealer friend of mine, you can only buy a Ferrari from the "local" dealer in your area. For example, living in NH, I would need to buy mine from the dealer in Boston. Supposedly, a dealer in say NY is not allowed to sell me a car unless I have a local address. This is Ferrari's way of preventing speculation and dealers are penalized (lose allocations) for not following this. I'm saying this happens all the time, but it's Ferrari's policy. I'm not sure how it works with someone in North Miami where The Collection and Shelton are equidistant. Also, dealers allocation is being bumped up by the number of Maseratis they sell.
