is it possible to retrofit the a/c display unit from a 02-05 onto an 01TT?

is it possible to retrofit the radio unit from a 02-05 onto an 01TT?

jsut wondering, since I think the radio controls on the 01 look so antiquated and Sh1tty. thanks.

what I'm talking about:




i dont remember the 02-05 having this unit.

My 01 doesn't look anything like that, but I have nav.

That is actually the upgraded stereo for 2001 as pre-2002 did not have Bose. I agree it looks antiquated but I have no solution.

HAHAH. yeah. I actually prefer the 02+ empty cubby pocket over this. Will the stereo still work if that is removed/unplugged? I was thinking about swapping in the cubby pocket from the 02+

Yes, but you need the CAN lines and amp in order to make it work, and the stereo of course. It willnot just plug and play though.
