It had some paintwork but mechanically is good (passed compression and leak down tests). I am still negotiating with the seller if it won't work out I will give you contact info.

Oh, that's ok, I am actually not interested in the car, I was just curious about the details of the car the other guy posted in case I ran into it.

Good luck with the sale, and sorry for the confusion!! :-)

Car has decent upgrades, I have all records, seller is completely honest about the car. I haven't seen it I haven't driven it so its not a done deal yet.

How much HP? TQ? Dyno sheets? This would be a good question to begin with? I would check the dyno sheet and look at the graph, this will tell you what it has. If people here are dropping the prices on the car, it is not cool. Then buy one at 40K and spend another 10K to modify it=50K or more, does this answer it.

What do you think a 2001 996 Turbo Black/Black, 16,000 miles, stock except for wheels and lowered should sell for? I know the owner and it's a immaculate.

I am considering buying this one and would like some feedback.

Is this car worth $50,000?

Thanks.

When looking for my car, I realized that there is a huge variance with regards to condition. There were some that were relatively cheap, but they were beat up. So its hard to gauge how much to pay for one based on what other turbos are selling for. However, there are those sellers that have cream puffs and are desperate to sell...I suppose you can be patient and hunt them down. I cant figure why anyone would want a beat up example of such an awesome car...kills the experience to some degree.

I'm in the market for a 996TT but don't know a lot about them. Would appreciate a chat with 911stripper who is nearby, but I can't use the PM function on this forum. I'd like to find a X50 but thought modifying a stock car might be another way to go.

Thanks
