20X12 20X9 wheel fitment on 996 TT

ANyone know if the following wheel sizes and offsets will work on a 996 Turbo. The car is lowered 1.5 inches

20X12 325/25/20 et 48

20X9 255/30/20 et57

Basically this is a 997 turbo aggresive fitment.

Unfortunately, I am not looking for opinions, I need quantitative data. Either someone that has run this combination or very similar to it. Or someone that knows it will work for sure!

Incidentally, there is no data on this particular fitment that I could find on 6speed.

Thanks
Justin

I know someone who ran 8.5x20 on 245/30/20 and 11.5x20 with 305/25/20. He had to roll the fenders and used some spacers to make them fit due to the offset of the wheels. He leased the car and only drove it for 15k miles before turning it in- he could careless on the potential damage he did.....

He needs the right offsets but it will work. I used Iforged offsets so I can't compare these exact ones as iforged doesn't give them out.

I put on 20 x8.5 or 20x9 and 20x12 iforged wheels this past weekend and it's dropped on H&R springs without any rubbing. I'm running 315/25/20 and 245/30/20.

The tires at 255 and 325 might be a little agressive but if they don't mind rolling the fenders then it will work.

Thanks for the information on the Iforged. Do you happen to have an angled picture of it?

.... I am surprised that noone else has tried the HRE aggressive fitment(P40 or P43) for the 997TT on the 996 TT. If it's something simple like modifying the IC piping, it's no big deal.... but if it involves a completely wrong offset, then I will give it up.

Thanks
Justin

I would be worried about the differential/driveshaft going bad due to the higher tire size from stock though. My friend knew this, but his car was a lease so he didn't care.

This works on a front vs rear %, not on the overall rotational diameter. Rather the ratio between the front and rear. Incidentally, my car is RWD.

To give you an idea, if the stock rotation(front and rear) is 700 revs per mile, and you oversize to 780 revs per mile, it will affect your speedo slightly, but as long as both the front and the rear are both 780 revs per mile, you are ok.

Mainly, I need to know about the overall fitment of the above sizes, be it rubbing on the IC pipes or the fender, etc.

No rubbing at all on the 315 and 245, I wouldn't do the 255 or 325 unless you don't care about possibly rubbing or the car sitting higher. I definitely can tell the height of the car was raised a little but not too high with the H&R's. I had a small leak in one of the tires so I'll post pics by this weekend or earlier when they reassemble the wheel. Definitely no rubbing even with the car squatting on the rear tires but it's close to the outside fender, front fenders are rolled so there cool.
