Wow 3 years (39 months to be exact) have gone by fast.

Lease is up. The leasing company is willing to sell me the car for Wholesale Auction Prices in my area. Anyone know how much that is? I'm assuming Manheim? I'm in Los Angeles.

I only have 26K miles.

I'd like to keep this car forever.

Next I'm thinking M coupe or roadster. They're soo cheap! You can get an 06 with less that 30k miles for the high 20s..

I'd send ///M Lifestyle a PM: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...lifestyle.html

He has posted a lot of Manheim auction prices on M5board: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60...-need-any.html

I hope this helps!

No brainer. How long until you need to decide...prices are sliding, winter is a great time to buy. Even if LA has no winter, the rest of the country where these cars go does...

Get the last few manhiem reports, take the average, offer them a bit less.

Or offer it to a member here...

I agree 100%. That's why they are willing to deal and mark it down to wholesale auction prices.

The lease is up in March. So right about now is the time to start negotiating.

They won't negotiate with you because they have residual insurance. The only way they get reimbursed is if the car sells at the auction. Given how much the car has dropped in value I am sure there are a few thousand dollars at stake
