I am considering doing the Upsolute chip, however there is no installer in my immediate area and the nearest one, 1 1/2 hrs away has never done a 996TT. I called Rene, the rep for Upsolute NA and he instructed me to send the ECU to him and gave me instructions on how to remove it. He said it only takes about 15 min. to remove/install. Does anyone have experience doing this? Anything I should be aware of?

Check in the "How to" forum. Stephen has some great instructions on how to remove the ECU. Very simple...less than 10 min job.

 

It soooooo easy - I can email you the instructions if you want...
If your TT is an 02 or later the Bose sub gotta come out (I think its a Torx 20 or 25 screw) - other than that, its just removing the carpet and undoing like 6 10mm hex bolts
