dme upgrade

what have you heard about the FVD dme reprogramming on a 05 turbo s, they saw it will increase hp to 525 @ 6000 rpm and torque to 550 @ 4800 and only increase boost to 1.1 bar. 0-60 in 3.6 secs. any thoughts?

I've got their software on a 'regular' Turbo with K16s.
Car runs like a raped ape. Cheapest $ per HP mod...feels like a different car.

Florian and Rhonda (FVD people) are great to deal with by the way.

Who will be doing your maintenance, trouble shooting, and any future mods?

I would buy the programming that YOUR local mechanic knows, supports, sells or recommends...

Does that mean they sell FVD and are familiar with the software, how to troubleshoot, how to reach the vendor with questions, etc?

I guess my point is that SW, unlike tires, suspension, intakes or other physical parts, can have unique interactions with multiple components and other mods.... to reduce the finger pointing and shoulder shrugging, I would make sure my tuner was a 'partner' in my SW choice.

Ditto on the great service.

Do yourself a favor and get an exhaust and upgraded wastegates to go with it. It wakes up your throttle response and fattens up your torque curve.

You are right about that, they are a very
knowledgeable dealership with alot of experience. Speak to Jason or Randall in the parts department, they have been dealing with us for years.

Thanks,
Rhonda

Another added bonus is fuel economy went up almost 2 miles per gallon highway in traffic.
