Welcome BlueFVD. I have the same setup installed by the FVD man himself ! ***** B.
Nedless to say, I'm super-happy with my car. The rush of power when I hit 3,000 RPMs is unreal.
What clutch do you have ?
I don't know the exact power it makes, but my FGT (tuned to 650HP) smokes it pretty bad .

I think the clutch may still be stock, but I'll check the paperwork. I definetely need an education on the 996 TT and upgrades. I dont quite understand all the lingo/abbreviations. I know what k-24's are, but what does 16g mean?
Do I need an upgraded clutch with the Stage 4?
More pics to come when the weather breaks and i can get some sunshine.

The term 16g is usually thrown around refering to the compressor wheel from a mitsubishi 16g turbocharger. The hot thing right now seems to be hybrids utilizing the k24 turbo machined to accept any of the variety of mitsu compressor wheels, which generally have a higher choke flow. You'll find you get used to speed and power, and typically want more. When that happens, you can send your k24s off to blouch, or a few other outfits, and have them fitted with the 18g or 20g compssor wheels.

On the clutch, if yours is not slipping right now, then you are probably ok. If you start beating on the car and then smell something funny when you come to a stop, that might be a sign that you will need another one soon.
Welcome to the 6, and nice ride.

BlueFVD575,

Welcome to 6 speed!

That is a very well maintained car. The previous owner was the most meticulous Porsche owner that I have had the pleasure of dealing with....he is sorry to see that car go. GREAT BUY!!

If you have any further questions contact me directly at rhonda@fvd.us as I am currently working at FVD Germany and won't be back until March 15th or so.

Thanks Rhonda, I feel like i definetely stumbled onto an amazing car. Nothing even came close for the price. I bought it immediately without hesitation. I didnt even know I wanted a 996 TT, I was actually looking for a Nissan GT-R!
I was able to talk to the previous owner, and he said he gave it up for a new GT2. All the FVD mods are incredible, and the car is ridiculously fast. I'll probably keep it as is for a while and then do a few more upgrdes of my own when I see what suits my needs. I'll definetely keep FVD in mind for that.

BlueFVD575,

That car has the original clutch on it from 2003! You will definately need a clutch soon...You may want to look at installing our intake plennum when you decide to do the clutch as the motor will need to be dropped at that point.

Here is the link in case you consider this option...

Here are our clutch kits...

Enjoy it!
