$1800.00 labor charge on incomplete clutch job...what to do?
Ben,
Yes, thanks. I came to an agreement w/ the local mechanic and when I went to pick up the car he demanded cash (I have always paid w/ my debit card) and I told him I did not have time to go to the bank. I found out my step sister died this morning and I have to fly out to CA for the funeral.
Sorry to bum everyone out but suddenly the car isn't really that important anymore. We knew she was dying of cancer but everyone was still hoping and praying.
In any event, what a guy, huh?
Maybe I will take Zac up on his idea.

Well you guys, no sense getting pissed. I mean really, I can't get one of my high end cars, waaa...my poor step brother in law lost his wife of 35 years, I have luxury problems. Anyway, I need a place to store my car while I am gone.
If he tries to pull anything when I get back (we already have an agreed upon price) his story will look pretty pathetic in front of a judge. I know exactly where to go to file my case and I will own his shop when I am done.
But like I said, first things first, I need to go be with my poor step dad who is devastated right now.

I just got a call from my mechanic and he has gotten all codes cleared and the car is running strong. He even offered to let me keep it at his shop while I am away.
I think he thought about everything and decided to have a change of attitude which I apprecite...it pays to stay calm and cool it seems.
Thank you very much for your offer of help.
