ECU reflash on tiptronics

Do you guys think that reflashing the ecu would change the way a tiptronic shifts? shift points..etc? Maybe some ecu programmers can chime in here...

thanks

I don't think my current map changed the shift points. I will ask my tuner.

This is done in a sepate control module from the main engine DME.

We do this in the Audi market, but have not tackled this in the 996tt world.

Is this something you guys feel would be useful?

I notice under WOT my shifts are around 6500. Maybe if it held on a little longer it would be better.

I think shifting from 6500 to 7000 would be very useful for tip-users

I would like the problem soughted out about flooring from a dead stop.. and its not that fast as at partial throttle... and I would like the shift points to shift harder if possible.. EPL do you think you can tackle the problem for us tipsters?

I too would be interested in crisper shifts for the tip. I would not want to accelerate the wear to the unit or removethe way power is halted briefly the shift is executed cleanly. Just needs to be a bit crisper and quicker.

I would like it to default to 1st gear when you stop. 2nd gear starts are the norm if your are full auto unless you really stomp it. It has plenty of torque for a 2nd gear start but it places the car into the 2300 to 2600 rpm range more and this is the high "drone" or harmonic area of the exhaust note. It would be awesome if you could give us 2 or 3 modes that were selectable. Stock/performance (just the 1st gear start)/high performance (hold gear to higher rpm before shift up and more aggressive shift down). I would need more info before I agreed to a higher rpm (6500 to 7000) shift point relative to wear or possible failure.

I have no complain about my Tip. One area to be improved is the down shift in auto mode. If the car can down shift when it's below xxxx rpm, that will be good.

+1
would really like selectable modes and less time in the drone zone.
