Why 60-130 specifically?
hmm, I thought it was to keep Chrysler K-cars off the list, since they cannot reach 130

Litterbug...
i think it should be 80 to 180 because lots of guys still get wheel spin at 60mph, and 150mph is too slow for any kind of significant aerodynamics to come into play
80 to 180 would not only showcase power, but it would showcase aerodynamics aswell

I dream about dead hooking at 60 mph....
There is a huge (compilation) of magazine test results in Europe that had been
gathered for years 100kph -200 kph (62 to 124). Old CAR and DRIVER tests always
did 0-60 mph and then all the way up to 130 so we can easily calculate what past
magazine test results are. It was mutually agreed upon (the original thread started
on RENNLIST 993TT forum) amongst the most knowledgable that this is a great comparator of power to the ground without having to kill your clutch or break your driveshafts.

for those with lots of power 60-130 is a great way to test power. It is also good because aerodynamics isn't as important as it becomes above 150. Great test. also easy to do on the freeway
Its a great measure for rear engine cars that don't suffer from traction issues at 60 mph.
Seriously - it is a good measure of horsepower. Cars can run on the same day in the same conditions and with a drift box it takes out all the BS that goes along with highway pulls.
