The what car did you have before your 996TT Thread___

So, very soon I will be a proud owner of a 996TT. I have been dying to find one, but am picky to get the proper setup. I wanted to know, what do you guys/gals have before the 996tt? How many of you came from the Japanese world? How many came from euro/american etc? Finally, write up your opinion on the choice you made on this car.

Cheers,

Edward

Just sold my previous car, 1993 C4 with 78K, well modded, but no comparison to the power of the 03 996TT now under my roof. Hard to see the old one go, a sweet ride but SO different than the 996, unreal how much has changed in 10 years.

I had a fully build 1,100+ HP Supra before the 996tt, switched because I wanted to build a more "universal" car that I could use for street/road course/drag strip and do relatively well at each. Sold her to a 6spd'er.

as far as a fun car it was 86 t with some very good mods, before that it was a 76t also moded, now comes the bad part corvettes, old ones. it starts like this 69 350/350,63 340hp split window, 64 roadster fi car. 55 no 141 chev 1st v8,66coup big block, last before the p cars was a 56 chev post blow sm block..... the corvets were not drivers. but it was fun at the time, porsches are way more fun

I had a BMW 335i (400 rwhp modded by Vishnu Tuning) and a E46 M3 and a BMW 330i before the M3 . Before that i had 2 Acura TL's.

So for me its been a great progession. 996tt hands down the best car for me. Well the E46 M3 was by far the most engaging car but the by current standards its little low on power.
